This beautiful Orthodox Dormition shroud (plashchanytsia) is crafted from rich blue velvet and features a fully embroidered icon of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos. The central image depicts the Mother of God resting upon her funeral bier, with Christ standing above her and holding her pure soul in the form of an infant, accompanied by heavenly angels.
The shroud is richly decorated with embroidered white lilies, golden floral ornamentation, and figures of angels in each corner. The troparion of the Dormition is embroidered in Ukrainian around the central icon. Golden metallic fringe and decorative corner tassels complete this beautiful piece, designed for liturgical use during the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos.
