Orthodox Bishop’s Eagle Rug (Orlets) – Embroidered, 28 Inches
This beautifully embroidered Orthodox bishop’s eagle rug, traditionally known as an orlets, features a golden eagle soaring above a walled city, surrounded by an elegant circular border of gold floral embroidery and white roses. The eagle rug is traditionally used during hierarchical services, symbolizing the bishop’s spiritual responsibility and his calling to rise above earthly concerns.
Crafted from gabardine fabric with a durable, non-slip imitation leather backing, the rug features detailed machine embroidery and is designed for use during Orthodox episcopal services.
The rug measures 70 cm (approximately 27.5 inches) in diameter. Custom sizes are also available upon request.
