Deisis with Christ Enthroned Orthodox Icon
The Deisis is a common iconographic depiction throughout the history of the Orhthodox Church. This theme generally has the Savior in the center surrounded by a supplicating St. Jonn the Forerunner and the Mother of God. This Russian version has incorporated the Archangels.
