Christ Enthroned with Deisis

This icon shows the Savior seated in majesty and holding the open Gospel which reads, "I am the light of the world, he that follows me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life."  Around the Savior are the Mother of God, St. John the Forerunner, St. Paul the Apostle, St. Peter the Apostle, Archangels, Sts. Cosmos and Damien, Sts. Zosimas and Sabbatius, Sts. Anthony and Theodosius and St. Nicholas.  The border saints are St. Harlambos, St. Anthony (the new?), St. Conon, St. Paraskeva, and St. Lazar.  An exceptional icon.
