Holy Wisdom Orthodox Icon
The
Holy Wisdon, or Sofia, icon is a very rare depiction of the Savior as
an angel and calls to mind the text from St. Paul, "but to those whom
God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the
Wisdom of God." Furthermore, this icon, as called Holy Wisdom, brings
to mind God's revelation of true wisdom in the person of Christ; of a
world wherein true and spiritual wisdom is commonly a paradox of the
"wisdom" in this world.
