Original antique "Eleven Subject" Russian icon
This icon was painted in the 19th century and illustrates many very common subjects depicted in Russian iconography. The icon itself is quite large, just over seventeen inches tall.  The panel has a slight bow and splines insearted in both the top and bottom.Â
The icon is presented in the following: top to bottom, left to right:
Mother of God "Kazanskaya", Mother of God "Burning Bush", St. Nicholas
St. Florus, St. Modest, Archangel Michael, St. Blaise, St. Laurus
St. George, St. Anastasia, St. Nikita (?)
Sized at 17 1/4" x 14 1/2" x 1"
