Original antique icon of Christ the Bridegroom
This icon of the the Savior is Russian and was painted in the late 19th to early 20th century.  The icon is in excellent condition with tooled gold border and double splines on the reverse.  This icon represents a very high level of painting in the "soft style", zhivopisnaya.  Very rare and hard to find subject.
